<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>A model for solar-hydrogen energy system for Saudi Arabia has been developed by obtaining relationships for and between main energy and energy-related parameters. The parameters’ magnitude and trends with and without hydrogen introduction have been investigated over a period of time. The results indicate that the oil resources of Saudi Arabia would not be enough to meet the domestic and export markets starting in three to four decades. The results also show that adopting the solar-hydrogen energy system would extend the availability of oil resources, reduce pollution, and establish a permanent energy system for Saudi Arabia. They also indicate that Saudi Arabia could become an exporter of hydrogen forever.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>солнечный водород</kwd><kwd>энергия водорода</kwd><kwd>водородная энергетика в Саудовской Аравии</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>solar hydrogen</kwd><kwd>hydrogen energy</kwd><kwd>hydrogen for Saudi Arabia</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">CIA-The World Factbook 2002, Saudi Arabia.</mixed-citation><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">CIA-The World Factbook 2002, Saudi Arabia.</mixed-citation></citation-alternatives></ref><ref id="cit2"><label>2</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Mohands, M.
