

Improving the quality of teaching foreign languages at the technical higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan at the stage of transition to the bologna system

Abstract
The article outlines a number of problems associated with the teaching of foreign languages in the specialty at the technical higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan, as well as with the development of the professionally oriented textbooks and teaching aids. A set of exercises and special level assignments for the texts is proposed. A model for improving the quality of teaching of foreign languages at the technical higher educational institution and the educational activities of the Department of Languages of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan at the stage of transition of higher educational institutions in Turkmenistan to the Bologna system is described. The assertion is substantiated that the proposed model of educational activities of the teachers will help improve the linguistic and professional competence of the students, retrain foreign language teachers in a short time according to the educational program of a technical higher educational institution; the introduction of the innovative pedagogical technologies into the educational process, the creation of high-quality textbooks for the energy engineers in English, Russian, Chinese, German and Persian languages in their specialty, the use of testing technology to monitor the students’ knowledge, the creation of software and test banks in professional foreign languages.
