RENEWABLE ENERGY

12-24 1163
Abstract

Decentralized energy supply areas cover territories disconnected from power grid, and they incorporate only one type of power source.

Autonomous diesel power plants (DPP) are used mainly to power decentralized consumers and consumer groups nowadays. DPP basic disadvantages are power production high cost, diesel fuel nonregenerability, greenhouse gas emission and environmental pollution. The possibility of power supply by autonomous power systems combining wind power plants (WPP) and hydro power plants (HPP) as alternative to diesel generation due to hydraulic energy storage advantages has been considered.

Autonomous WPP/HPP power system is a combination of WPP, HPP with water-storage reservoir, automatic control system and switchgear, combined by power, infrastructural and data connections.

HPP water-storage reservoir parametrization procedure considering operating specificity of HPP and WPP as a part of power system with hydraulic energy storage has been suggested. Mathematical models for operating modes of WPP, HPP and storage reservoir has been developed, which consider resource, technical and technological features of their performance in decentralized power supply system. Technique for determining storage reservoir backup volume with allowance for wind conditions objective parameters, WPP features and storage reservoir configuration has been suggested. Method of day-ahead WPP firm power calculation in solving problem of operational planning of power system operating modes has been suggested. Simulation of WPP/HPP power system operating modes with seasonalstorage reservoir has been carried out on the basis of suggested approach.

The techniques could be used for solving design problems to substantiate decentralized power supply system parameters in remote and isolated areas, as well as for evaluating energy-economic efficiency of replacement existent decentralized power supply systems on the basis of DPP using imported diesel fuel by environmentally safe systems on the basis of local energy resource – wind energy and hydraulic energy.

Abstract
Humic acids (HA) and HA derived carbon (HADC), obtained by heating HA at 900 oC in inert atmosphere, has been studied by solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Raman spectroscopy and the method of standard contact porosimetry (SCP). Mass spectrometry was also used for analysis of gases released upon heating of the samples. The composite of HA with graphene oxide (HA+GO) derived carbon has been prepared using carbonization of HA+GO in an inert atmosphere at 900 °C. Small agglomerates of carbon with sharply defined edges have been obtained because of carbonization of HA, and the composite of HA+GO forms only large aggregates at the same condition. The values of specific surface area of HADC and (HA+GO)DC are 173 and 474 m2 /g, respectively. The value of specific surface correspond to the area of all pores (Spore) is equal to only 3 m2 /g in the case of HADC. In the case of the (HA+GO)DC, Spore is equal to 237 m2 /g.

Abstract
The paper deals with the technical and economic analysis of the energy heat-pump “air-air” technology at bivalent operation involving a gas boiler plant, capable of transforming the outdoor heat at the temperature of +8 ÷ –40 о С into the useful power for the heating system. The technical and economic indicators of bivalent operation of the heat pump of the “air-air” type together with the gas boiler plant are presented. The energy appropriateness of the outdoor air use for home heating is shown. The peak gas boiler in the bivalent scheme allows hot-water supply and complete technological cycle of heating.

Abstract
Hydrogenation of eutectic alloy of composition 89 at. % Mg + 11 at. % Ni (Mg89Ni11) by hydrogen and ammonia in the range of the temperatures 100–350 ºC was investigated. It is shown that both processes allow to receive the hydride phases of magnesium and intermetallic compound Mg2Ni, but in various temperature modes.

Abstract
In this study, we conceptually develop and thermodynamically analyze a new continuous-type hybrid system for hydrogen production which photoelectrochemically splits water and performs chloralkali electrolysis. The system has a potential to produce hydrogen efficiently, at low cost, and in an environmentally benign way by maximizing the utilized solar spectrum and converting the byproducts into useful industrial commodities. Furthermore, by using electrodes as electron donors to drive photochemical hydrogen production, the hybrid system minimizes potential pollutant emissions. The products of the hybrid system are hydrogen, chlorine and sodium hydroxide, all of which are desired industrial commodities. The system production yield and efficiencies are investigated based on an operation temperature range of 20°C-80°C. A maximum energy efficiency of 42% is achieved between the temperatures of 40°C and 50°C.

Abstract
The creation of advanced rocket engines for rocket-space systems requires a large amount of autonomous tests of combustion chambers and gas generators in the experimental units with a pressure and pump-feed systems components of rocket fuel. The article describes the experimental units with the use of turbopump assembly with recirculating and closed loops of cord and different power schemes gas generator turbine drive unit, the recommendations for stabilization startup and modes of testing.

Abstract

The paper deals with the main flight phases of the spacecraft rockets and automatic spacecrafts for the planets scientific missions including the active flight with firing engines in the Earth atmosphere; the flight on the LEO; transfer flight to the other planets; entry to the planet atmosphere; flight with the parachute system; landing and operation on the planet surface.

The schemes of the spacecraft landing to the surfaces of the Venus, the Mars, the Moon the Earth satellite are presented. Main systems of descend and landing spacecraft main systems are also presented.

The paper describes the main natural and artificial factors and loadings, acting during the spacecraft operation, the vibration and acoustic loads; linear accelerations, natural and the Earth’s artificial electromagnetic belts, galactic and solar space radiation, the solar heat radiations, meteorites, space vacuum, electromagnetic radiation, low gravity, space waste, aerial gaseous and dynamic factors.

The theoretical and experimental study of the space environment and loadings acting on the automated spacecraft during its operational phases should be performed at the phase of experimental development to provide the specified reliability.

A reasonability of the lunar surface base creation has been substantiated. The base will be provided with the systems of hydrogen and oxygen production. Here the automated spacecraft propulsion system will be refilled with the propellant components. After that the spacecraft can fly to the deep space objects.

Abstract

In order to evaluate the ecological conditions of the area, it is proposed to use the bee colony, the state of which can be identified with acoustic noise. Bees of particular colony fly on a particular type of honey plants, which corresponds to a particular direction of their flight. During the acoustic monitoring of bee colonies, the researchers identify those ones in which there is not a typical change of acoustic signals. To do this, the researchers must compare the information components of the acoustic noise of bee colonies corresponding previous state of ecological conditions and terrain altered state, which can occur in case of a sudden change in the ecological status of the area, for example, during exposure of pesticides.

In order to determine whether the changed state of the bee colony belongs to previous ones, it is proposed to use the fuzzy representation of informative signs.
